Proposals for art exhibitions and funding are time-consuming and can often be fruitless. But it’s good to reframe the process to see the value that it brings.

Submitting work to numerous festivals and exhibitions has taught me a lot about acceptance and rejection. I’ve learned to understand rejection in a way that doesn’t allow it to undermine my concept of myself as a photographer.
